'Had our annual management dinner at Restaurant. First time for all of us and did not disappoint. From entering the restaurant and being met by our friendly waiter Brena, right through to dessert, one surprise and delight after the other. Lots of different flavours, all good, nice vibe, we all felt like dancing! We will all be back. Special compliments to Brena, he made the evening special.'

'The best restaurant I have eaten at in the country is Moz-am-bik just north of Durban in Ballito. Moz-am-bik is a highly-rated and awarded African/Portuguese restaurant which does the best peri-peri Chicken I have found anywhere in Southern Africa. That includes the best places I could find in Mozambique, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Malawi. These people are totally committed to quality and their consistency is outstanding. Give them a bash next time you are in Ballito - or even, and I mean this, plan a trip to Ballito to eat there.'

'When available, try the clams prepared in a coriander and white wine sauce, or snack on olives with macadamias or rissoles. Mozambique is represented by linefish in a coconut milk sauce and prawns cooked in beer. Portugal contributes the likes of trinchado and meltingly tender espetada. Piri-piri chicken comes with the quintessential char-grilled flavour and, if you don't like to get up close and personal with your food, have it done in the "chicken-for-girls" style which is boneless and, naturally, served with salad.
